Just uploaded photos of Asakusa from my tokyo trip – a place in Tokyo for anybody who wants to experience a more traditional side of Japan.
Asakusa (浅草) is a district in Taitō, Tokyo, Japan, most famous for the Sensō-ji, a Buddhist temple. The attractions here includes the Kaminarimon (the gate with the big red lantern), Sensoji Temple, Nakamise Street, Denpoin Street, Azuma Bridge and some shotengai – and Tokyo Sky Tree is located around the area as well.
Managed to spent a day in Akihabara during my recent trip to Japan and this photo post covers the stores which I visited in Akihabara.
In Akihabara you’ll find lots of anime, manga, figures, gundam, dolls, hentai, eroge, “health products” and much more. It is truly the heart of otaku culture and I find myself having a great time visiting the stores there ^^
Today we’ll look at some of the photos that I’ve took during my trip to Odaiba last week.
Odaiba is located in Tokyo Bay and here you’ll find many entertainment facilities like arcades, cinemas, restaurants and theme parks. To reach Odaiba, you can take the Yurikamome train line and get off at Daiba station.
I almost forgot that today is actually “Zaku Day” & “Miku Day”. This is a day dedicated to otaku’s favorite virtual idol Hatsune Miku or their favorite mobile suit Zaku.
Any of you plan to travel to Japan soon? If so be sure to visit Nasu Highland Park (an amusement park north of Tokyo), as they are exhibiting a 1/1-scale life-sized Zaku in a ”Zaku Repair Bay”!
