The latest issue of Weekly Famitsu reveals that Namco Bandai Games’ Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost will be released for the Playstation 3 in Japan next year. This is certainly good news for PS3 owners who wants to add another Gundam game to their PS3 gaming collection.

If I’m not mistaken, the original Mobile Suit Gundam Extreme VS Full Boost was released in Japanese arcades back in 2012. This new PS3 version will feature over 20 new playable Mobile Suits, and that’s more than 90 suits in total. All those fancy MS from The New Mobile Report Gundam Wing and Gundam EXA manga series will also appear for the first time.
If you’re not familiar with the game then check out the PV for the Japanese arcade version:
Was informed that large number of theme songs and background music will be featured, including 30 extra songs not available in the arcade version plus five original songs.
Other than that, there is a multiplayer mode where the online rooms can hold up to 12 players. Interestingly, there are settings that let you limit your opponent’s rank or winning ratio have been added to improve matchmaking. Arcade mode can also be played in cooperatively with other players online. Here are some official screenshots taken from the Famitsu website:
While the game looks tempting to get, I will most probably skip this game as I’m thinking of ditching the PS3 for a PS4 and grab “that Gundam Game” next year ^^;
